Mutiny's latest crewmember, Hexuba, casts a dream spell on the Rangers, making them fight battles in their mind as they sleep. Mike fights off the spell long enough to find Hexuba's hideout and break the spell.

- "Dream Battle" was also the title of an episode in VR Troopers.
- This is the first Power Rangers episode to have the Rangers fall into a dream dimension. The second being Power Rangers: Dino Thunder 's "In Your Dreams" episode.
- Following this episode, hexuba will only appear in two episodes. this one and "Hexuba's Graveyard".
- This episode is similar to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 1 episode Crystal of Nightmares but unlike in that, the Rangers are not afraid nor didn't lose confidence.
- During the Megazord fight with the Nightmare Monster the Rangers call upon the Stratoforce megazord, instead the Centaurus appears.
- In the fight with the Nightmare Monster, half way through it Damon disappears, he returns in the end to save the other Rangers and defeat the Nightmare Monster, none of the other Rangers mention this. This was probably due to the Sentai episode involving the Green Ranger saving the other Rangers.
- This episode featured voice returns of two cast members from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers- One being actress Rajia Baroudi (who played Delphine, the White Alien Ranger in MMAR) as the voice of Hexuba [2] and the other being Walter Jones (who played Zack Taylor, the original Black Mighty Morphin Power Ranger) as the voice of Hexuba's the Nightmare monster .
